Freedom for now

I have been released from the mental ward and am staying with my parents right now. My psychotic symptoms are declining and I am receiving daily medication from now on. I’m sorry to anyone who had the impression that I’m the epitome of having your shit together in life, but that’s not the way things are. I have some money of course, but I’m not even good at beating the stock market.

This is just what happens when you bully and/or sexually abuse children and teenagers. They grow up to use a lot of different drugs and often they develop psychosis or other mental disorders. Are the drugs self-medication? Are the drugs the underlying trigger? I don’t know. I do know this: Don’t send your white trash son to rich kid school, no matter how smart you think he is. Don’t do it to him. What we call “autistic” now, they called “gifted” in the 90’s. It’s a glass half-full/empty thing.

I know Jesus taught us to be forgiving, but when I look in my heart, what I see is that I hope my old enemies grew up to have six figure salaries, big houses and wives who still rub their clitoris every once in a while, thinking of an old lover. Don’t judge me unless you’ve lived it.

I doubt you will be able to believe me when I say it. But I mean it, when I say I think I’ve lived a better life than them.

  1. Make sure you eat well and exercise, you need sources of dopamine that aren’t from drugs. When I’ve been psychotic cold showers have helped me slow down a racing mind so that could help, but if they’re deeply unpleasant to you don’t torture yourself. You have nothing to prove to anyone. Focus on yourself, don’t feel bad for what you’re going through (that won’t help anyone) and get better bro.

  2. Whether a higher social class of origin makes you happier or less happy, depends on the society you live in. And whether upward mobility makes a person happier also depends on the society they live in. From Science Daily:

“People who grew up in a working class family are more satisfied in later life than those from a higher class background according to new research from The University of Manchester.
The study by Dr Bram Vanhoutte and Professor James Nazroo, published in the Journal of Population Ageing, also found that English people who climb the social ladder are more content and happy when they get older than people in the States who are similarly upwardly mobile.
The research sought to find out whether social mobility makes people happier in later life while taking into account people’s living conditions.
Dr Bram Vanhoutte said: “Everybody believes that in the US it is easier to climb the social ladder whereas in England there is less social mobility. There is some truth in that, while almost half of those born in a working class family will retire working class in England. This figure is only a third in the US.
“We’ve discovered that English people who do manage to upgrade their social status substantially end up with a greater sense of autonomy and control. In America on the other hand, people who have risen in society’s ranks are less satisfied than those who haven’t, raising serious questions on the practical merits of living the American dream.”

So, in the U.S. you are better off staying with “your people.” In Britain, there are benefits from upward social mobility. I think this might be because in the U.S. if you “better” yourself it requires moving away from all your relatives, whereas Britain is such a tiny place that you couldn’t be far from your relatives even if you tried. I don’t know how it would work in the Netherlands; whether staying with and embracing one’s class of origin is a plus for happiness or not.

I’m very glad you’re out and that your psychosis is controlled.

    • I’m sorry Karen but this is bullshit.

Being born with an active intelligent mind into a family of NPCs is the worst fate.

You never can forget what you might have been if your potential had not been obliterated by ignorant caregivers who had no means to shepherd and coach you.

I think we can agree Radagast would have been a world-class doctor or academic medical researcher.

But that’s not how things turned out, did it?

Speaking for myself, I know the exquisite pain of knowing “what could have been” if not for the ignorant fumbling of my caregivers who bequeathed to me their own intergenerational trauma.

      I COULDA BEEN A CONTENDER

People like us are fated to live in a world where we are eternally aggravated by the stupidity around us, and this state of affairs causes constant anguish.

It’s almost enough to drive a man to drink.

This fact alone argues for the “Hell Realm/Loosh” hypothesis.

Others would say that folks like Rad and I are paying Karmic debts for some horrible, horrible things we did in a past life. That’s possible I suppose.

      I just…can’t…get…over…what might have been…

      • People are notoriously bad at picturing themselves in situations other than the one they are in. You are not picturing what it is like not to have relatives. I know several guys who climbed out of the working class and they lost all connection with their families of origin. It wasn’t intentional, in fact one of them really tried to keep up ties. But if you’re not around the connection dies, especially for men. They are way more miserable than you are. You describe your relatives as NPCs but you are an ingrate; they helped you get medical care not long ago.

People can achieve even if they have parents who don’t help. Like Vance. If you live in a Western country you really can’t blame your family after the age of 18. It makes more sense to blame society; there are a limited number of conventional “success” slots.

Also, all people, smart and stupid, are aggravated by the stupidity around them. That is just life.

If Rintrah were a medical researcher, he would be a medical researcher who had just gotten sprung from a locked facility; most of Silicon Valley is on mental meds.

I guess as a female I just don’t find this sort of regret interesting. I have a friend whose dad was an engineer; he and his three siblings had every advantage but they are all comparative failures by conventional measures. His best job was as a lifeguard for a few years; he is now 70 years old. He took care of his mom for ten years when she had dementia. He volunteers where I do, and what we do has great social value but no status. He wails like you do about wishing he could have been a success, but his life seems good to me. He has three siblings who are alive and healthy who care about him.

You’re probably thinking that you could have risen in life but still kept up ties. Technically that is true but in reality it is very rare in the U.S..

At a certain point one has to grow up and be glad of the good things that one has. Rintrah is very lucky to have his parents and his brother, and he realizes that, and any shortcomings they may have are not relevant.

  3. I am also glad you’re out.

Sometimes it can be helpful to hit rock bottom, instead of trying to fight it. Once you get your energy back and get tired of wallowing in the depths, at that point there will only be one direction to go in. At least in my life that’s been the case.

  4. You need to hit the gym and lift, stop the substances, I’m sure there are some vegan protein shakes. Failing that get a dog and walk it everyday.

    • Yeah I don’t think the key to mental health is the diet that causes you to shit yourself; and that requires you to engage in the disgusting and dangerous process of eating raw liver to get the nutrients you can otherwise easily get from plants.

I starved myself for fifty days, I was in ketosis during that time. I myself have experienced the keto shits during my fast, and I wasn’t even eating anything. Shitting yourself just seems to be a fact of ketosis; just another humiliation people normally go through for not having empathy for animals.

Not even the Inuit live on the keto diet. They eat plenty of plants including carbs and fermented foods, and they are specially adapted for eating large amounts of animal products and have access to selectively bred dogs which (paleolithic people didn’t have) which drastically increase the their hunting efficiency. Look to any long distance runner and you’ll see that they eat wholesome grains rather than cheeseburgers before they go on a run since that is actually what is conductive to energy.

There were a couple studies that implied ketosis could help epileptics with their mental health by slowing down their brains and therefore slowing down their racing thoughts. (Yes that is actually how that works, since ketones are not as a efficient of a fuel source as glucose) and after reading said study, low IQ low status white males ran with the idea that ketosis is the end all be all for mental health since they have a fetish for eating animals and nothing else.

  5. No, I don’t get it.

You’ve been privileged your entire life, even attended “rich kid school,” you’re sitting on a fortune of hundreds of thousands of basically unearned Euros, and you’re whining about your mental state, blaming it on meat eating bullies??

    Nope

This shit isn’t flying with me.

  6. Do the facts and circumstances of your financial gain of recent years create a detrimental psychological clash?

Maybe you should transfer the remaining proceeds of your purloined assets to me.

You might feel better. I’ll give it back to you when you’ve normalized.

  7. Don’t listen to any of these assholes. Come to think of it, how many socks do you use to comment here Rintrah? From my perspective there’s a non zero chance that some commentators are you taking the piss to yourself.

  8. Rad, I know the way out of the maze. I’m not going to spam it here uninvited, but if you want to know, I can show it to you. It starts with aligning your metaphysics with reality. Do that, and you can check your logic (and you ideologies) for errors with dialectic.

      • True. It’s knowing which one to pick that’s not obvious. At least it wasn’t to me until someone pointed it out. Hermeticism is aligned with nature’s patterns. Seven basic principles that map to our quantum understanding of reality and its recursive fractal patterns. If you plant your tree of knowledge there, you’ll have strong roots and understand what to prune.

  9. Of course you don’t have your shit together, almost nobody really does, least of all bloggers.

I used to blog a lot, but I finally realized the primary motive for most bloggers was to convince themselves of their own credibility.

Unfortunately, credibility is a function of human social perception, an assignment of status concerning knowledgeability.

It turns out that the instant one believes they know, they’ve closed themselves off to the direct experience of reality and replaced it with a pole of words forming a template approximating it. They’ve forsaken the territory in favor of their map.

There are other reasons people blog, such as young people collecting their thoughts or trying on different personas to test social reception, but overwhelmingly blogging seems to be about pretending to know everything.

I hate to say it but you have developed a bad case of bloggerism since beginning this project, and often seem to see yourself as a great sage across many topics who is just trying to get the world to see.

Thanks to my wife I finally realized that ultimately knowledge is fleeting, and to prioritize wisdom i.e. knowledge of enduring principles with the caveat that there is always better wisdom out there.

All knowledge passes away or is contradicted by some other knowledge, and all principle is ultimately just a rudder to help man navigate an impossibly complex and unknowable reality in an approximately correct fashion without needing to know all of the details.

Ultimately all we get to do is choose who to try to become.

  10. “It turns out that the instant one believes they know, they’ve closed themselves off to the direct experience of reality and replaced it with a pole of words forming a template approximating it.”

You just discovered the basic principle of traditional Quakerism and mysticism generally. Now add Christianity and you’ll be somewhere good.

  11. You were subject to a magick attack employing demons because you were reminding people how serious current and future health problems have their root in the jab, which was originated by cheeto man in his Warp Speed program. Warped indeed.

The same thing happened to the Two Witnesses of Revelation who were starting to develop a following, and were preaching that cheeto man and muskrat are the Two Beasts: Witness 2 (Elisha) went loco.

There is a reason why cheeto man named his cult MA*A

There is a reason why cheeto man did not put his hand on the bible while “taking the oath” on Jan 20.

    • >There is a reason why cheeto man did not put his hand on the bible while “taking the oath” on Jan 20.

Very true. Cheeto man is essentially the inversion of the ideal of a Christian man.

  12. Good one, Rintrah! Even better to have you back.
For what it’s worth, I might not agree with all of your opinions but I surely believe you are a sharp and honest thinker.
    Take care!

      • Drink 2L of water, then go to a sauna and do the Roman thing with the ice cold water, then the 95° chamber longer than allowed, repeat until your body refuses to go back into the heat.
Repeat every odd day. Sauna has the advantage of spotting some boobies. Maybe this is helping more than the cycles. Whatever works.
