I don’t think that Rintrah has ever written about the tragic case of Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon, two young Dutch women in their early 20s who sadly died after they went missing in the jungle in Panama while out hiking back in 2014.
If you read about their deaths on Wikipedia and Reddit, there are many mysterious unsolved ambiguities surrounding their disappearance. While the official explanation is that they simply lost their bearings in the dense jungle, there are some people online who speculate that they may have been murdered.
Here is an informative Reddit post which discusses the disturbing aspects of the case, such as recovered “bleached” bone remnants and their backpack (which was still in “pristine” condition), along with phone records/logs and a camera which had taken strange photos in the middle of the night 7 days after they disappeared:

OT, but I’m curious about a question Rad is singularly suited to answer: does the “MDMA” in your country still have the reputation it had in the late 90s when Americans understood Dutch MDMA was the “good stuff” (Shulgin synthesis) , or is it now the adulterated MDA (with who-who-knows-what fillers) commonly referred to as “Molly” (last I heard when I was still in those circles here in the States).
I’m guessing whatever it is now, it’s still being hawked to tourists by Somali immigrants on Amsterdam’s street corners
