I like it when ideas are well executed. This is a good example. Mimi Barks is basically numetal in the tradition of Marilyn Manson, but with female vocals and trap influences. I am surprised she is not as popular yet as Manson was in the 90’s.

Using the same logic many Christians do to describe different art as satanic, so is the Bible itself, which is approximately half concerned with the devil and his doings. I only listened to a few seconds of the music, and then I scrolled quickly through the video. I guess it is a girl who kills herself? My upstairs neighbor’s 16 year old has been in the hospital for about a month now. Every night we get back from our dog ride and their car (which was gone when we left) is back, because the husband got back from being with her (the mom stays overnight a lot I think). I’ve only known them for about a month; she was hospitalized soon after they moved in. It wasn’t a suicide attempt as far as I can tell; the father told me that she has some sort of autoimmune problem that has psychological effects; the doctors can’t figure it out what is going on. Her mom is a doctor and she is in a major teaching hospital so you’d think they could. But I saw her once in passing just before she was brought in and she looked healthy to me but very, very angry; she looked like a black hole of rage (her father told me that she is a very “happy kid” but I think that is not true).… Read more »

Part of it is their physical surroundings. Try to imagine living in a small and crowded country with no real “nature” available, and having your only escape being planned vacations which cost real money. Everywhere I have lived, nature has been at worst a short car ride away. Even Americans who don’t have a back yard mostly have that, but Europeans have no back yard (or just a tiny one), and miserably manicured parks and no woods or fields in their vicinity. And they are surrounded by monuments and other evidences of mass killings (“historical sites”). I have known Europeans who moved to the U.S. and were transformed by the space and greenery.

I have serious doubts that there’s free will. Although people do still get to weight things up and decide. It’s just not that their decisions are truly free as everything is a function of various internal and external causal factors.
The modern world is becoming increasingly evil all the time.
It is not something that humans have evolved to exist happily inside.
The various causal factors/circumstances that modern people face make them ‘unhappy’. This is not really something anyone can decide about – we cannot just ‘manifest’ ourselves into happiness. Instead, the evil of the modern world manifests in all sorts of ways: depression, stress, cutting off your own balls, etc.

Rather than a “guide,” I think it serves far more as a cautionary tale. There was a number of times that the very imagery here occurred to me and left me imagining my own parents thumbing through memorabilia of mine, which worked effectively to draw me away from suicidal ideation.
