The anti-EU vassalist right

There’s a tendency I notice on the European far right to be vassalists. That is, for all practical purposes they want to see Europe divided again between a Russian influence sphere and an American influence sphere. These people will tell you that if they ditch the European Union with its legal framework, they can stop immigration into Europe and begin their glorious mass deportations.

What these people never want to mention is that the EU has already reformed its asylum seeker policies. You can find a summary in Dutch here. Gone are the days of applying for asylum in multiple countries. If you pass a safe country on your way to the EU, you’re thrown into a sped up procedure that lasts for just 90 days before you’re kicked out again.

The EU after all, if largely composed of Eastern European countries that have no desire to import large masses of immigrants. As a Western European I favor the EU, precisely because the Eastern European conservatism protects my country from excessive universalist delusions among the Dutch left.

The other thing I have to point out here is that the mass deportations these people promise you are just not going to happen. Get used to it. Europe is 90% indigenous white people, versus a 57% white United States. Granted, the Americans got hot latina’s, while we got the wife of Darth Vader. But in Brussels, 37.5% of the population is of non-Western origin. And in Germany, 26% of the workforce in sections with a labor shortage are of immigrant background.

You’re not going to have mass deportations, for the simple fact that your labor force would collapse and thereby your economy would collapse. You saw what happened after Brexit, they just got a different flavor of immigrants. You’ll have to get used to a multicultural Europe, whether you like it or not. If you really hate it, you can live in the countryside. The asylum seekers will largely go away when the new laws kick in by June 2026, but other than that, the EU will be multicultural, including a substantial Muslim minority. It is as it is.

The anti-EU vassalist right is writing checks that bounce, they’re making impossible promises they won’t keep. In the meantime, their buddy Trump is eager to steal Greenland from us, as Putin is hoping to annex Ukraine. Note how they don’t want a peace treaty where EU soldiers can be stationed in Ukraine. That suggests after peace is concluded, Putin wants to be able to rebuild and invade again a few years later.

So why does the anti-EU vassalist right exist? The answer is simple: Money! These people tend to be sponsored by either Russian deep pockets, like the anti-EU Forum for Democracy in the Netherlands, or they have to beg for American money. It’s an easy way of life, to earn substackbux and Twitterbux by peddling what Elon Musk and Donald Trump want to hear. Americans will pay you good money, to tell them you want your little European country to be America’s protectorate.

And equally important: Why do the Americans now hate the EU so much? At least part of the answer has to be found in European climate policies. The European Union wants to move towards net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The Americans however, want to fill the gap that emerged with the end of Russian gas imports, by selling their own abundant natural gas to us.

That’s inevitably going to clash with our European net zero ambitions, but that’s the route through which they plan to extract wealth from their European vassal states. Trump pushed tariffs on us, until we agreed to buy 1.15 trillion dollar of natural gas. This is an insane amount, entirely incompatible with the climate policies we have in the EU, so they would like to see those policies go. The low IQ anti-EU vassalist right is of course a useful tool against European climate policies. I would call them useful idiots, if it weren’t for the fact that they get paid good money to betray our continent and its people.
